The ACHD Commission voted four-to-one to approve the adoption of the proposed FY2021 budget during the public hearing on Wednesday, August 26th. In light of the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on our community, the Commission elected not to take an increase in the property tax certification (which is an allowable three percent each year) or take the new construction roll (growth). The Commission also elected to bypass foregone taxes.

"We take great care to balance the needs of our community with the realities of available funding and meeting our budgetary priorities. Staff consistently answers the call, year after year, to provide a comprehensive budget for the entire District."
This approved budget of $135.7 million for fiscal year 2021 includes projects to increase safety and mobility and provides for the maintenance and operation of Ada County's roads, sidewalks, traffic signals, bike lanes and related infrastructure. The approved budget includes a $70.2 million capital program including:
